Known as the Godfather of Boxing in the Philippines, Antonio L. Aldeguer better-known as “ALA” is a businessman, philanthropist and most importantly, the Founder and Chairman of the ALA Boxing Group. What started out as a dream of training out-of-school boys and aspiring boxers in 1985 has long since became reality. Today, ALA has molded hundreds of young boys into national champions. His efforts in professional boxing promotions has also produced multi-titled world champions.
For more than two decades, ALA has blazed a trail in promoting international boxing events and has succeeded in putting the Philippines on the boxing map. His achievements and contributions go above and beyond boxing. He has given opportunities to all aspiring boxers, giving them hope to reach their dreams not just in the ring but outside of it. ALA has not only changed the sport’s landscape and created champions, but has improved the lives of these young fighters.

Elevating the sport of boxing in the Philippines.
The President and CEO of the ALA Boxing Group, Michael Aldeguer took over the mantle in 2006 and helped revolutionize the sport of boxing and boxing promotions in the country. Today, ALA Promotions is considered to be the premier and the biggest boxing promotional company in the Philippines. The first Asian promoter to stage events in the United States after its successful Middle East venture, ALA Promotions continues to expand and cement its place in the International Boxing scene. With the creation of the world-renowned PINOY PRIDE series broadcasted globally by the biggest TV network in the Philippines, ABS-CBN through its international arm, The Filipino Channel, Michael Aldeguer and his team are slowly achieving the company’s vision of elevating the sport of boxing in the Philippines.
But it doesn’t stop there, ALA Promotions has continued its campaign to sign up and promote fighters not just from the ALA Gym but amateur and professional boxers from all over the Philippines and the world. With his unwavering dedication and passion, Michael aims to bring the ALA Boxing Group and all aspiring Filipino boxers at par with the world’s best.
