ALA Promotions and ABS-CBN Sports’ Pinoy Pride X Main Event Boxer Arrives Tonight

Tonight, at 2315H, Pinoy Pride X main event boxer and undefeated Mexican knockout specialist Miguel Mendoza with his trainer, Rodrigo Fregoso Medrano will be arriving at the Queen City of the South, Cebu via Cebu Pacific flight 5J 579.

Mendoza, the challenger to the IBF International Featherweight Champion Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista, holds an outstanding record of 17 wins with 17 knockouts in less than five rounds without a loss and is definitely not an easy opponent for the Filipino Bautista, who is intent on bringing himself closer to the world championship.

The confirmed arrival of Mendoza made ALA Promotions and ABS-CBN Sports’ partner brands feel that their support of Pinoy Pride X has been worth it. The IBF International Featherweight Championship is supported by Cobra Tunay na Lakas Energy Drink, Summit Natural Drinking Water, SM Super Mals, KIA Motors Cebu, Radisson Blu Hotel, EGI Resort and Hotel, Harold’s Hotel as well as Pacific Mall Mandaue, MAYA Mexican Restaurant, MOOON Café and ABACA Resort.

On December 6, 12NN, Mendoza will be at the Maya Mexican Restaurant at the Crossroads, Banilad, for a press conference to be attended by media men and women from television, radio, and print.

Pinoy Pride X will happen on December 10, 2011 at the Hoops Dome, Lapu-Lapu City and will be featuring two undefeated Mexican prize fighters, the other being Marcos “Geraldito” Cardenas, who is set to fight fast-rising Super Bantamweight from the Philippines Genesis “Azukal” Servania.

OPBF Flyweight Champion Rocky “The Road Warrior” Fuentes is set to face WBC International Silver Light Flyweight king Lookdiaw Tor Buamas while one of the new additions in the ALA Promotions’ roster, Romeo “Jako” Jakosalem, will be battling Pan Soo Kim for the vacant OPBF Light Welterweight Championship.
