Pinoy Pride X Boxers Public Preview @ PEZA Football Field

7m reports that, on Saturday, November 26, world-rated Filipino fighters from the ALA Boxing Gym will be holding the second Pinoy Pride X public preview at the open area of the PEZA Football Field to give fight fans a quick look as to what they have prepared against their high-caliber foreign opponents.

The public sparring session will begin at 5 in the afternoon and will feature the reigning IBF International Featherweight Champion, Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista, whose worthiness to challenge a World Featherweight Champion will be tested by undefeated Mexican prospect and knockout artist, Miguel Angel Mendoza.

Mendoza has an outstanding record of 17 wins with 17 knockouts. His opponents have not lasted more than five rounds, and only one opponent has reached the fifth round.

Their upcoming match will be a significant one not only because it may catapult Bautista closer to a world championship, but it would also boost Mendoza’s rank and add to his professional boxing experience.

Also in the public sparring session is OPBF Flyweight Champion, Rocky “The Road Warrior” Fuentes, who will be fighting WBC International Silver Light Flyweight Champion Lookdiaw Tor Buamas of Thailand. Genesis Servania, who is set on proving his worth as a top Super Bantamweight prospect by facing Marcos “Geraldito” Cardenas, will also be demonstrating his boxing skill in front of fight fans.

The Bautista and Mendoza bout is the main event of the tenth installment of Pinoy Pride, the boxing mega-series which is a brainchild of ALA Promotions and ABS-CBN. Because of the series’ successes both in ticket sales and television ratings, top brands namely Cobra Tunay na Lakas Energy Drink, Summit Natural Drinking Water, KIA Motors Cebu, SM Super Malls, Radisson Blu Hotel, EGI Resort and Hotel, Harolds Hotel, Pacific Mall Mandaue, Maya Mexican Restaurant, Mooon Café, and Abaca Resort have decided to partner with the country’s premier boxing promotions company.

Like the previous public sparring session at the Pacific Mall Mandaue, the event will give boxing fans a chance to win free Pinoy Pride X tickets by answering very simple questions based on the event. All they have to do is to watch the public preview from start to finish.

Pinoy Pride X is scheduled on December 10, 2011 at the Hoops Dome, Lapu-Lapu City.
