Philippines VS Mexico. Servania VS Cardenas. Prospect VS Prospect

Filipino fight fans will again be treated to another taste of the storied boxing rivalry between the Philippines and Mexico in PINOY PRIDE X where two of the rival nations pair of prospects will be in the spotlight.

In the main undercard of the country’s fastest growing boxing television series PINOY PRIDE of ALA Promotions ad ABS-CBN Sports, Filipino Genesis “Azukal” Servania and Mexican Marcos “Geraldito” Cardenas will be putting not just the pride and honor of their proud nations but their respective undefeated records on the line as well.

Both countries have a great number of fighters who are considered green-horns in the sport of fist fighting but have shown greater abilities to be called prospects. Among them, Servania and Cardenas.

Servania, W 15 (KO 5) L 0 D 0 was a former national amateur boxing champion and is considered to be one of the best technically sound fighters from the Philippines in the mold of AJ “Bazooka” Banal and Milan “El Metodico” Melindo. He is young and fast and has big heart to match with it.

The fighter called “Azukal” graduated from fighting local opponents, passing over Asian fighters and to immediately facing a grizzled world title challenger in Mexican Gerson Guerrero who has challenged world champions Daniel Ponce De Leon and Christian Mijares.

Servania never really showed signs of being intimidated and just focused on the training and the fight itself passing his biggest to date by out punching and out classing his more experienced foe in Guerrero. He surely is a prospect to be followed.

Marcos “Geraldito” Cardenas, W 12(KO 9) L 0 D 1 is likewise undefeated and will be another challenge for the Filipino. He has a 70 % KO rate and has nothing in mind but to keep his unbeaten streak intact. This battle will be surely be a candidate for fight of the night come December 10 as someones 0 has got to go.

PINOY PRIDE X will have knock-out artists Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista vs
Miguel Angel Mendoza as the main feature at the Hoops Dome in Lapu-Lapu City on December 10, 2011 which is supported by Cobra Tunay na Lakas Energy Drink, Summit Natural Drinking Water, SM Super Malls, KIA Motors Cebu, Radisson Blu Hotel, EGI Resort and Hotel, Harold’s Hotel as well as Pacific Mall Mandaue, MAYA Mexican Restaurant, MOOON Café and ABACA Resort.
