Boom Boom in First Pinoy Pride 10 Public Event Today @ The Pacific Mall in Mandaue

After a busy promotional campaign in Manila to promote his next bout, Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista returns to the Queen City of the South, Cebu for a series of public exhibitions.

In his first Pinoy Pride X pre event appearance in Cebu today November 12, 2011, Bautista will be climbing up the ring at the new Pacific Mall Mandaue main lobby to give boxing fans a glimpse of his preparation for his much awaited ring return. Action starts at 5 PM

Bautista will be facing undefeated Mexican phenomenal prospect in Miguel Angel Mendoza who has knocked out all his 17 opponents in five rounds or less. This coming face-off with Mendoza will be very crucial as a win will bring him closer to a possible bout with his tormentor Daniel Ponce De Leon who knocked him out in the first round when thy met at the Philippines vs Mexico World Cup of Boxing in Sacramento, California years back.

Also appearing in the event is OPBF Flyweight Champion Rocky “The Road Warrior” Fuentes who will be facing Thai banger Lookdiaw Tor Buamas who is the WBC International Silver Light Flyweight Champ. Undefeated Filipino Super Bantamweight prospect Genesis “Azukal” Servania will likewise mix it up against undefeated Mexican Marcos Cardenas in the main undercards of this grand event.

Both Filipino fighters will also be showcasing their wares in front of fans for the first time since their last bouts in this 1st Pinoy Pride 10 public exhibition.

The Cebu-born Fuentes saw ring action last August 20 in Japan while Servania is best remembered by fans to have rightfully beaten Mexican veteran Gerson Guerrero in an 8-round match during the PINOY PRIDE 8 mega event months back.

This public exhibition will be a chance for the Boholano Bautista to get in touch with his fans and prove that he has fully recovered from injuries and that he will not back down from this most recent challenge against a knockout specialist—Miguel Angel Mendoza—with his recently obtained IBF International Feather Weight Title on the line.

Surprises await boxing aficionados who watch the event from start to finish, as ALA Promotions will be giving away free tickets to lucky fans that can answer simple trivia questions at the venue.

The PINOY PRIDE boxing mega-series is a brainchild of ALA Promotions in cooperation with ABS-CBN Sports and is intended to showcase not only the Filipino boxers’ skills, but also to showcase the best the country has to offer.
